Technical Support Junior

Formed in 2009 Conveyor Networks provide best in class warehouse automation and software solutions for retail, eCommerce and distribution businesses of all sizes.  From system design and build, through to install, servicing and maintenance, Conveyor Networks provide customers with logistics solutions which best suit their business and budget.

Conveyor Networks has an affiliate company called imio Software Solutions Limited (imio stands for “Interface Manager Inbound Outbound”) which provides high level software platforms, as part of the wider system integration(s).  Originally imio was an automation & software interface, relaying information from machinery to host systems, however ongoing development of the imio platform has resulted in a robust, modern, easily deployed warehouse management suite.

Working as part of the sales and marketing team, the role will support the business in the following areas: IT Support, Technical Sales, Technical Marketing.

 

The main duties will include:

  • Internal IT Support including day to day internal issues, management of our IT provider and internal IT projects.
  • External IT support in order to support clients, help the imio software team test applications and manage the customer support portal.
  • Support the sales team by visiting clients to assess their IT hardware and software, recommending best practice and costs for integrating our software into their systems and documenting this with the customer.
  • Using Demo 3D software to support sales and engineering by creating 3D automation concepts.
  • Media creation (video, images etc to support marketing)
  • Manage the hosting and support for our external websites.

 

Technical skills and qualifications

  • 1 in a computer related degree
  • A strong base of technical computer skills with the ability to quickly learn new software packages or languages

 

Communication skills

Good communication skills are important as you will have regular contact with the following stakeholders.

  • Customers, both face to face and telephone contact to discuss their IT network and integration with our software.
  • Colleagues in other software and engineering functions to deliver a team result.
  • Colleagues – technical and non-technical – to recommend and explain IT policies.
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts to a non-technical audience.
  • Suppliers and partners to ensure best practice.

Senior Controls Engineer

Formed in 2009 Conveyor Networks provide best in class warehouse automation and software solutions for retail, eCommerce and distribution businesses of all sizes.  From system design and build, through to install, servicing and maintenance, Conveyor Networks provide customers with logistics solutions which best suit their business and budget.

Working as part of a small engineering and projects team and reporting to the Projects Director you will be responsible for delivering engineering solutions for eCommerce businesses.  This is a new role created in response to fast growth during 2017.

 

Duties will include:

  • Designing, electrical systems, (field and panel), involved in the implementation of Material handling and automation solutions.
  • Writing and commissioning PLC, SCADA and HMI code in support of these systems.
  • Coordinating activity with partners and suppliers to ensure systems are specified and delivered in accordance with the FDS.
  • Providing required documentation in support of delivered systems.
  • Supporting our clients with remote facility – this is Frontline support on a rota basis.
  • Supporting the Projects Director to ensure on time on budget delivery of controls and automation projects.

 

Communication skills

Excellent communication skills are essential as you will be working closely with the following groups on a daily basis:

  • Customers to present proposals, agree FDS’ and communicate project progress.
  • Colleagues in other software and engineering functions to deliver a team result.
  • Partners and suppliers.
  • Sales Support.
