Conveyor Networks announce board changes following a positive 2017

Conveyor Networks are implementing board level changes following strong growth in sales orders, and success in new market sectors during 2017.  Financial Controller, Lisa Scobbie and Associate Director of Sales, Marcus Uprichard have been appointed to the company’s board of directors.

Business objectives in 2018 include supporting sales growth with the technical resources and structure to allow proactive customer service and for Conveyor Networks to consolidate its move into the parcel handling sector.

Many recent projects have had complex controls systems architecture demands, and the trend in client needs as well as the direction of the business show that this is set to continue.  From legacy systems through to the latest technology there is a growing demand for the operational benefits that controls provide.

In response to these challenges the Operations and Technical Director roles will be merged into one Operations role.

Current Operations Director, Geoff Wooding has resigned his position as a Director and shareholder to take a role as Control Systems Analyst. The role will focus on Control system application and delivery, with responsibility for our controls offering in order to support the board of directors through:

  • Setting in place further steps and processes to support best practice project delivery.
  • Technical support of the sales/support teams.
  • Sourcing and managing strategic partnerships in order to support and grow Conveyor Networks controls capability.
  • Identifying training and investment requirements for the technical teams.

Associate Director of Operations

A new Associate Director of Operations will join Conveyor Networks in May, with extensive automation and engineering experience, he will continue to ensure the business offers innovative, effective solutions.  In particular, he will lead the drive on continuous improvement, class leading project delivery, clear communication and team working with customers and partners alike.

Managing Director, David Carroll commented “I’m delighted for Lisa and Marcus who have both worked tirelessly in helping the company reach its goals.  Our markets are fast paced, technology is constantly evolving, it’s a really exciting time for all of us.  The changes we’ve made to our leadership team will provide a great platform for the next period of growth.”
