New starters at Conveyor Networks

Project Delivery New Starters

In order to deliver a busy project delivery and project schedule and continue to meet our high standards of warehouse automation project delivery the project and engineering teams have the following new starters.

Peter Sharp joined us at the end of May as Senior Project Manager.  Peter has worked in the process control and material handling industries for over 34 years.  His career started at DataStor as a commissioning/project engineer. Following this he joined Avanti as Operations Manager.   He has extensive knowledge of all types of conveyors and automation systems including controls, safety and software.

Neil Thornton joins us as Sales Support Engineer and will be looking after servicing and spares for our customers as we continue to focus on providing proactive, high quality customer service.  Neil’s background includes system design and project management in the parcel handling and cargo sectors and he also has extensive customer support experience from his time at Sovex Systems.

The projects team are also being supported by Ahmed Hagi who joins us as Junior Design Engineer and will be responsible for our CAD engineering designs.  Ahmed completed a BEng in Mechanical Engineering (2014) and an MSc by Research (2016) at Huddersfield University.  During his Bachelors he also worked as a Manufacturing Engineer.  Immediately after completing his studies he began contracting as a Mechanical Engineer in the oil and gas sector.

Toby Cook will be starting later this month as Technical Support Analyst and will be supporting the sales team by working with customers and recommending best practice for integrating our software into their individual systems.  He will also be looking after our own internal IT systems.

Neil Reedy joins Conveyor Networks as Senior PLC Engineer and will take responsibility for managing and delivering a number of solutions as part of the existing projects and engineering team.
