Automated sorting is an integral part of improving speed and efficiency within a warehouse. Smart sortation allows a product to get to its destination without human intervention.

 

Automated sortation systems are typically used at:

 

  • Goods in – taking the product from goods in to storage

Divert-Rollers

Swivel Wheel Diverts

Swivel Wheel Diverts are capable of moving product in any angle from 0° to 90°. Some of the features of Swivel Wheel Diverts are:

  • High sorting performance
  • Extremely energy efficient
  • Extremely compact with no projecting components
  • Capable of leaving goods at a certain position on the conveyor (presorting)
  • Very low clearances between successive pieces of goods to be conveyed by individual control of the swivel bars and short switching times
  • Electrical or pneumatic swivel wheels
  • Reversible
  • Extremely Quiet
  • Can sort in multiple directions
  • Up to 50 units per minute

Pop-Up Rollers

Pop-up rollers are able to sort product at 90° only. Some of the features of Pop-Up rollers are:

  • Transfer the product to 90° conveyor, saving space and money
  • Take the product from short edge leading to long edge leading (or vise versa)
  • Extremely Precise
  • High power transfer on the rollers
  • Electrical or pneumatic wheels
  • Reversible
  • Up to 30 units per minute
  • Up to 50KG weight

Transfer Belt

Belt Transfers

Belt Transfers are able to sort product at 90° only. Some of the features of Belt Transfers are:

  • Transfer the product to 90° conveyor, saving space and money
  • Take the product from short edge leading to long edge leading (or vise versa)
  • More forgiving than Pop-Up Rollers
  • Extremely Precise
  • High power transfer
  • Reversible

Chain Transfer

Intralox-Sorter

Intralox ARB Sorter

The Intralox Activated Roller Belt (ARB) sorter is a large modular plastic belt with 90° wheels that power up when the product is at the exit lane. Some of the features of the Intralox ARB sorters are:

Bombay Sorter

A bombay sorter uses multiple trays on a large sorting wheel that either split in the middle, drop one side or use a pushing arm to push product out the tray at the destination lane. Some of the features of a bombay sorter are:

  • No damage to product (ideal for things like books)

Cross-belt Sorter
ShoeSorter

Shoe Sorter

Shoe sorters are a a piece of conveyor that has small “shoes” on one side. The product is loaded onto this conveyor and when at the destination lane, the shoes guide and push the product off the main sorter and into the destination lane. Some of the features of shoe sorters are:
